tickets go on sale as perth hosts 2022 royal national mod

Ticket sales begin as Perth hosts the traditional Gaelic event for the first time since 2004.

This years Mòd runs from October 14–22 after last years event, held in Inverness took a hybrid twist due to COVID-19 restrictions. Although organisers have confirmed that some of the online competitions will remain as the event moves into the digital age. There's also the addition of new competition categories.


The Gaelic spectacular includes a range of concerts, shows, ceilidhs, competitions and exhibitions as well as the Mòd’s traditional main competition events.

Some of the biggest names in the Scottish traditional music and the Gaelic cultural scene have confirmed their attendance.

Tickets are now on sale for the Mòd 2022 opening concert at Perth Concert Hall with singers Mairi MacInnes, Arthur Cormack, Ceitlin Lilidh and Darren MacLean on the bill.

Tickets are also now on sale for the "Our Language Our Music" event and ceilidhs hosted by The Leonard Brown Scottish Dance Band.
